Too Fast!

So I just can't believe summer went by so fast. and we are already two weeks into the school year. So far, everybody seems to be adjusting and doing well. I feel totally sleep deprived as i am SO not used to getting up so early, but all is well in the Little household. For now anyway. Will try to update this a little more often, and maybe even have my daughters show me how to add a pic or two. All the kids are growing up so much. I'm not quite sure I am ready for three more teenagers in the house. Two is enough for the moment. or for a lifetime...lol.

A Great Summer's Day

Today was a fabulous day! Scott had the day off and it was so beautiful out that I decided to play hookie and hang out with the family. The twins were sleeping over a friend's house, so it was just Scott, Katlyn, Annalisa and me. We went to Mount Tom State Park to go swimming and it was just beautiful. Annalisa fell under the water when she first went in, and so was much more cautious after that, but she still had fun. Katlyn discovered that she was a good enough swimmer to make it out to the buoys and back and so did that trip many times. I was tired just from watching her. After dinner, we wento to Stanley Quarter Park where Gemini and Scott participated in a 1 mile cross country run. They did great! and the rest of us were on the sidelines cheering for them. Now, everyone is getting ready for bed, which is quite often the perfect ending to a great day!!!!

Summer time!

So I think I was just as happy as the kids that school was ending for the year. It was a year of new discoveries. My very smart girls discovered that they are not the smartest ones at their new school and that they actually have to work hard to do as well as they use to. There were a lot of projects and a lot of late nights, but thank God, it is over.... and we are enjoying the summer. Swimming a lot and some hiking, visiting some parks. We participated in the Great Park Pursuit sponsored by CT's DEP that brought us to many different state parks we had never been to and we really enjoyed that.
